Description

The objective of this investigation is to fill-in information gaps identified from previous studies, advance the current conceptual plans to the Preliminary Design Phase and identify all additional information gaps that will be required for the completion of Issued-For-Construction (IFC) diagrams and specifications for the recommended rehabilitation plan of the Former Timminco Mine Site.
Scope of Work
The Vendor will conduct the following tasks as further described in the sections below:

Task 1: (i) Data Review, (ii) Field Plan, and (iii) Project Management

Task 2: Field Investigations and Preliminary Design Engineering:
i. Tailings Fill Delineation, Excavations and Cover Area Optimization
ii. Permeable Reactive Barrier Characteristics Planning
iii. Radioactive Contaminated Soils Delineation
iv. Property Bypass Drainage Channel Planning
v. Clay Burrow Site Assessment
vi. Cover Characteristics
vii. Hydrocarbons and Strontium
viii. Operations Property Drainage Channel

Task 3: Gaps and IFC Procurement Planning

Mandatory Site Meeting
May 9, 2024 at 14:00 to 16:00 (Toronto Time).

Interested bidders for the site meeting should send the names, titles and email addresses of participants to Tracy Richards at Tracy Richard by May 8, 2024 at 11:00:00 (Toronto Time).
Upon receiving your registration, all other information pertaining to the site visit will be sent via email.
All expenses occurred for the site visit will be at the cost of the Bidder.
The purpose of the mandatory site visit is to assist prospective Bidders in understanding an overview of the Ministry’s requirements, as set out in the RFB.
Any questions related to the Deliverables will be answered during the mandatory site visit. It is also recommended for Bidders to submit their questions relating to the Deliverables in writing via e-mail to the Ministry Contact identified in section 1.1.8.
