RFP-24-34 - Tourism Consultant

The Town of Amherst, in partnership with the Municipality of the County of Cumberland, is exploring opportunities to build and expand the tourism industry in Cumberland County. Throughout the Town of Amherst and the Municipality of Cumberland there is a rich variety of scenic diversions and outdoor adventures. Cumberland County enjoystwo different coastal shorelines, each offering unique experiences. It is governed by three Municipalities: the Town of Amherst, the Town of Oxford and the Municipality of the County of Cumberland, covering an area over 4,000 Sq/Kms. This area is also home to many other smaller communities, including Springhill, Parrsboro, Pugwash, Wallace, and others - all with their own local attractions, heritage and unique tourism offerings. The Town of Amherst is issuing this request for proposals on behalf of all these communities and will from this point on be referred to in the statement of work as the “Cumberland Region”. By issuing this RFP, the three municipalities intend to select a proponent that, through the evaluation process of this RFP, is found to be best qualified and most suitable to provide the services required.
