208833 - Boat Launch Building Operations

The Village is seeking proposals from qualified contractors with proven capacity, ability and experience to manage the operation of a municipal boat launch and public washrooms located at 501 Esplanade Avenue in Harrison Hot Springs. The boat launch is a core service used by residents and tourists alike. It is the gateway for the public to explore and enjoy Harrison Lake, one of the Village’s most significant attractions. Proponents should have relevant experience working in a similar environment.

2. Scope of Services: The boat launch is often a fast-paced and busy environment. All proponents are expected to provide exceptional customer service in a professional, courteous and knowledgeable manner to make the user experience as positive as possible. Boat launch operations, including user fees are governed by Village of Harrison Hot Springs Boat Launch and Parking Lot Regulation Bylaw No. 1075, 2015, which the operator must comply with and adhere to at all times.

The proponent will be responsible for the following duties:
a) Daily opening and closing of Boat Launch Office
b) Fee collection for the sale of boat launch passes
c) Processing of debit and cash transactions
d) Completion of cash reconciliation paperwork
e) Daily bank deposits
f) Weekly reporting on boat launch use and revenue
g) Conducting security and safety checks, and reporting any incidents directly to the Village
h) Directing the launch and retrieval of boats and maintaining an orderly and logical flow of traffic
i) Cleaning the washrooms regularly, including maintaining and stocking supplies such as paper and soap products
j) Emptying garbage bins in the washrooms and outside the Boat Launch
k) Maintaining and sweeping walkways and washroom entryways
l) Keeping all areas in a clean and safe condition
