Rocky View County is soliciting responses for Engineering Services to meet current development demands with application approvals, technical reviews, and other related engineering tasks. A1. Background: Rocky View County is seeking support for Engineering Services, including technical reviews and general engineering services. The County is looking to supplement its technical resources to ensure continued delivery of high-quality services. This includes maintaining timely responses, technical review and advancing infrastructure priorities. This additional support will enhance the County’s capacity to manage ongoing engineering demands while providing flexibility to respond to increased workloads, specialized project requirements, and evolving service expectations. Eligible corporations and/or candidates should be prepared to dedicate resources immediately to assist the County with development applications. The Scope of work is as follows: A 2. Scope of Work: The Consultant shall be responsible for ensuring that work undertaken aligns with Rocky View County’s current Servicing Standards, applicable provincial standards and requirements for the area of development. The Consultant is expected to be familiar with these documents and to apply them appropriately in all reviews, assessments, and engineering recommendations. • Provide technical support and review of technical documents with consideration and understanding of active and approved area structure plans and conceptual plans. • Provide technical support for different types of applications such as Area Structure Plans, Conceptual Plans, land use redesignation, subdivisions, development permits and review of other related municipal engineering studies or work. • Assist in the preparation of circulation responses that capture standard recommendations to the County’s planning department and Subdivision Authority for conditions of approval related to various application types. • Provide detailed technical review of technical application submission, including construction drawings and various engineering reports, ensuring compliance with the County Servicing Standards and provincial guidelines as required. • Assist in the calculation of security, levies, master rates, and/or cost recoveries for subdivision planning applications as applicable. • Support the drafting and review of various development-related agreements such as Development Agreements, Servicing Allocation Agreements, Road Construction Agreements, and others as needed. • Participate in and, when required, lead inspections related to Construction Completion and Final Acceptance inspections or other inspections, as needed on behalf of the County. • Participation in Pre-application meetings or other meetings alongside County Engineering staff to provide technical input at various stages of the development applications and review process. • Provide other engineering support services as requested by the County to meet development-related operational and review needs.
