The Municipality of Jasper is inviting qualified contractors to submit bids for Phase 2 of the Fire Recovery Interim Housing Project, as part of community rebuilding efforts following the 2024 wildfires. This project includes the servicing and grading improvements of land allocated for the purposes of interim housing in Jasper. Scope of Work Includes (but is not limited to): • Topsoil stripping and offsite stockpiling • Common excavation and imported granular fill • Granular base course and recycled asphalt pathways • Full sanitary sewer installation (150mm and 200mm), manholes, and cleanouts • Water service lines (50mm, 25mm, and 20mm) • Hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement patches (100mm) and Recycled Asphalt Pathways (100mm) • Concrete curbs, gutters, and monolithic sidewalks • Final grading, topsoil placement, and hydroseeding Quantities are detailed in the tender drawings and specifications. The successful contractor will be designated as the Prime Contractor under relevant construction safety legislation and will assume responsibility for site safety. By the act of submitting its bid, the Bidder agrees that any claim the Bidder may have in relation to the award of the work by the Owner is limited to damages for the reasonable cost of preparing the bid and that the Bidder has no right to seek loss of anticipated profit. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Owner may consider any other factor, besides price and capability to perform the work, that it deems, in its sole discretion, to be relevant to its decision.
