NOI Title: Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy

Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Authority and Vancouver Coastal (the “Health Authorities”), through their collective agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Vagal Nerve Stimulation Therapy (VNS) for Vancouver General Hospital and BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital sites for a term of 3 Years and potentially 2 x 1 Year extension at an estimated value of $960K per year or $4M over the term including option years.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authorities, has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

Due to an absence of competition for technical reasons

Vancouver General Hospital, BC Children's & Women's Hospital are the only two sites currently utilizing the Vagus Stimulation Therapy Equipment. Livanonva Canada Inc. is the only manufacturer and distributor of this therapy equipment that holds a Health Canada Licence. Suppliers who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Sepideh Rahim, by email before 1:00 pm Pacific Time, May 30, 2025.
PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
