Request for Feedback on a Draft RFP (Request for Proposals)
On behalf of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Service New Brunswick is seeking feedback on a draft version of a potential future RFP (Request for Proposals). This is a market sounding exercise, and not a formal solicitation for proposals. No agreement or contract will be established as a result of this market sounding exercise.
If/when a formal RFP is issued by way of a competitive bidding process, it will be advertised on NBON, and interested suppliers may submit proposals for consideration at that time.
1. Overview of Draft RFP
Draft RFP #6496003-26 Comprehensive Minerals Strategy
This Draft RFP pertains to the purchase of professional services to develop a five (5) year comprehensive strategy covering New Brunswick's strong mining value proposition for DNR.
Refer to the attached Draft RFP for further details.
2. Purpose of the Draft RFP Process
Sharing a draft version of an RFP allows Service New Brunswick to solicit input from interested parties, such as potential suppliers, stakeholders, First Nations, special interest groups, etc., who might be impacted by the formal RFP. Feedback collected from diverse sources can help identify areas where the RFP language, requirements, or structure need improvement, and can help ensure that the formal RFP reflects the true needs and expectations of all parties involved, leading to a more aligned
process.
3. Feedback Requested
Interested parties are invited to submit written feedback regarding the attached Draft RFP document. Feedback is to be submitted in writing, as follows:
- Complete the attached Response Form
- Email the completed Response Form to: NBBids@snb.ca
o In your email, include the Draft RFP Number and Title in the subject line of the email.
- Deadline to submit feedback: TBD Time, TBD Date
Feedback may be submitted in either of New Brunswick's official languages.
4. Questions Submitted by Interested Parties
While Service New Brunswick intends to respond to questions by releasing answers periodically on NBON in the form of amendments while the Draft RFP is open for feedback, responding to questions will be handled on a best effort basis. In some cases, Service New Brunswick may not be in a position to answer certain questions because requirements may not yet be finalized by the Department of DNR. Unanswered questions are still very valuable feedback as it allows Service New Brunswick and the
Department of DNR to see where interested parties may have some concerns, or where additional information or a different approach may be needed.
Questions regarding this Request for Feedback can be sent to: BidQuestionsSoumissions@SNB.ca
5. Notes to Interested Parties
- This Request for Feedback on a Draft RFP does not constitute a commitment by the Government of New Brunswick (GNB). GNB does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Request for Feedback or otherwise pay for the feedback solicited. Any and all expenses incurred by interested parties in providing feedback are at the interested parties' sole risk and expense.
- Content of the formal RFP is subject to change, which may be as a result of information provided in response to this Request for Feedback. Interested parties are advised that any information submitted to Service New Brunswick in response to this Request for Feedback may, or may not, be used by Service New Brunswick and the Department of DNR in the development of the formal RFP.
- The issuance of this Request for Feedback does not create an obligation for Service New Brunswick or the Department of DNR to issue a subsequent formal RFP and does not bind Service New Brunswick or the Department of DNR legally or otherwise, to enter into any agreement or to accept or reject any suggestions.
- There will be no shortlisting of suppliers for the purposes of undertaking any future work, as a result of this Request for Feedback. Similarly, participation in this market sounding exercise is not a condition or prerequisite for the participation to any subsequent formal RFPs.
- Respondents to this Request for Feedback should identify any submitted information that is to be considered as either company confidential, or proprietary.
This is a tender notice only. In order to submit a bid, you must obtain official tender documents from the New Brunswick Opportunities Network, another authorized tendering service or as indicated in the tender notice.
Solicitation documents will be provided in either of the Province of New Brunswick's two official languages; English or French upon request.
