The City of Prince Rupert is seeking proposals from qualified proponents in response to this request for proposals ("RFP") for the provision of Services (as defined herein) to be carried out within the required schedule set out herein for 3rd and 4th Avenue Walkway Rehabilitation Design.
The City is looking for proponents to submit proposals to Design a new 18-meter x 1.5 m wide walkway, stairs, railings (handrails and guard rails), landings, and all structural connections including foundation types as per the attached Appendixes.
Type of materials, and construction methodology to be determined and submitted by proponent. Structure and materials to follow BC Building codes. Proponent may submit multiple options.
Structural and Geotechnical components, if required or deemed necessary, will be up to the proponent to accommodate and provide accordingly.
The drawing(s) must be professionally stamped and sealed.

Appendix D: Reference Drawings: These drawings reference other portions of the pathway and there is no drawing of the damaged pathway.
Scope of Services
The services will comprise of 3rd and 4th Avenue Walkway Design Rehabilitation and Procurement Documentation Project including, without limiting:
(i)Complete close proximity assessment/inspection, and analysis of the 3rd and 4th Stairs
(ii)Utilization of geotechnical equipment (if required)
(iii)Produce Inspection Report and Conceptual proposed designs
(iv)Design, sketch, and compile quantities of materials to be replaced/repaired. Design and sketches to be ready to tendered for construction by Mid August
(v)Prepare estimate (Class C) for works (to create budget for installation)
(vi)Complete analysis and review of the historic and current drawings, reports, inspections and works on the walkway completed to current date (Information provided)
(vii)Compile IFT Drawing set, Procurement Package (Tender Package) and documentation required to post tender for walkway works (as outlined in procurement packages produced)

A Proponent's meeting will be OPTIONAL and will be held July 7th 2025 at 2:00 pm sharp at the base of the stairs at 3rd Avenue West.
