Roam Transit is pursuing a mobile ticketing and fare collection system that will provide customers with the ability to purchase, validate and manage fares using a self-service application, while allowing multiple onboard fare payment options and the utilization of fare capping programs. Roam Transit defines a fare as the charge per ride, including but not limited to, cash payment, ticket, time frame pass or stored value account. The objective of updating our current fare technology is to allow for cashless and contactless fare payment options for our customers and to make fare payment quick and easy for all – frequent riders as well as infrequent “one time” riders/visitors.
