Description

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit qualified vendors for the supply and delivery of replacement turnout gear for fire department personnel. This initiative aligns with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1971 standard, which recommends the replacement of structural fire fighting protective ensembles every ten (10) years. Following a 2025 analysis of our inventory of 175 sets of turnout gear, the department has identified gear requiring replacement due to inspection failure and gear that has reached the end of its recommended service life. This RFP supports our commitment to providing the safest and most reliable protective equipment for our chief officers, career suppression staff, career prevention staff, and paid-on-call firefighters.
