Description

The Ministry’s Aviation Services Section, of the Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services (AFFES) is seeking one qualified vendor to provide Exterior Stripping, Painting and Corrosion Protection services.

The MNR Fleet is operated by AFFES Branch of the Ministry and the Aircraft are used for wildland fire management, emergency response, search and rescue management, transportation for government employees and for various resource management projects.

The Ministry is seeking a qualified Vendor, who will deliver high quality results, in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The MNR Fleet is utilized in all seasons throughout the Province of Ontario.
Scope of Work
The Ministry requires a vendor to meet the Refinishing Requirements for its five DHC-2T de Havilland Turbo Beaver MKIII Aircraft and six DHC-6 de Havilland Twin Otter Aircraft as well as their companion Float Sets – the Wipaire 6100A Float Sets and the Wipline Model 13000A Float Sets.

The Aircraft must be maintained, delivered and returned to the Ministry in an airworthy “fly away and serviceable” condition and that any down time due to the provision of the Deliverables is kept to a minimum and communicated to the Ministry Representative.

The annual number of Aircraft and Float Sets to be painted during the term of this Contract will be determined by the Ministry on an as required basis.
