b) Project Objectives

The objective of this RFP is to develop two primary AFETUW Phase II enhancements as follows:

1) Integrate the AFETUW Phase I Graphical User Interface (GUI) prototype with the Alberta River Basins development technology.

2) Create an AFETUW ‘add-in’ module that will query and list EMS water licenses within any ungauged watershed in Alberta.

AFETUW Graphical User Interface Development
The first component of the AFETUW Phase II project involves integrating the existing AFETUW Phase I prototype front-end viewer into the Alberta River Basins website GUI technology. The AFETUW new front-end GUI will also access/consume various Python-based geo-processing services currently deployed on AEP’s enterprise GENESIS server. This will provide a common website interface for users interested in real-time flow data at either a gauged or an ungauged watershed and will make it easier for AEP Informatics to maintain both website tools if they share a common GUI development platform.

AFETUW EMS Water Licence Viewer Add-In

The second component of the AFETUW Phase II project involves developing an AFETUW add-in that would extend the Alberta Water Licence Viewer capability provincially. The development will combine AFETUW’s existing watershed delineation capability with AWAIT and the Alberta Water Licence Viewer existing technology to provide EMS water licence query capability for any watershed in Alberta.
