1163 - Taxi Services Provider- Central-North Island

Island Health is seeking a vendor(s) to provide a preferred taxi service. These taxi cabs will be the only vehicles allowed to park at Island Health taxi stands at Central and North Island facilities. The vendor will be allowed to install direct taxi telephones in select locations. The vendor will occasionally be used to provide the transport of small items between sites and for transportation of Island Health staff with an authorized taxi voucher.

The taxi stand service will be provided for two (2) hospital sites: Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (Nanaimo) and Campbell River & District Hospital (Campbell River), and any future taxi stands assigned in the Central or North Island as required by Island Health. The taxi service for each site would be expected to pick up within a 60 km range of the hospital and drop off at any destination. Each site will be bid on separately and a company can bid on one (1) or both sites. In your proposal, you will need to list the site(s) your company is bidding on and have the specified details outlined for each separate site.

The taxi service contract will be for a three (3) year period from the date of Contract award, with the option to extend the term by written agreement of both parties for an additional two (2) years.
