PHSA 03330 - Perkin Elmer GSP Immunoassay Analzyers

Notice is hereby given that The Provincial Health Services Authority ("PHSA"), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide two Genetic Screening Processors 2021 and related proprietary consumables and service for the Children's and Women's Health Centre for a term of five years with an estimated value of $ 2.2M.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA as agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

- The good or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exits for the following reasons.
- For technical reasons the goods or services can be supplied only by a particular supplier and no alternative or substitute exists;

The Children's and Women's Health Centre requires the Genetic Screening Processor 2021 system this is the only system that has Health Canada approved in-vitro diagnostic assays on a single platform for dried bloodspot analysis of the following listed below:

· 170H progesterone (17OHP)
· Immunoreactive trypsinogen (IRT)
· Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
· Biotinidase enzymology (BIOT)
· Galattose-1-phosphate uridyltransferase enzymology (GALT)

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Navjeet Grewal, Buyer, by email before 12:00pm Pacific Time, Friday July 24, 2020.
PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
