MCCAC202001 - Climate Adaptation Consultants for Municipalities and Indigenous Communities in Alberta

The Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA), is inviting responses from Proponents to qualify as climate adaptation consultants to deliver services to Alberta municipalities and Indigenous communities (participants) through the Climate Adaptation Program. The Climate Adaptation Program (CAP) is delivered through the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre. The consulting services delivered through CAP will focus on capacity-building and enhancing participants’ ability to prepare for and respond to climate-related risks.

The selected Proponents will pre-approved by the Action Centre and have an opportunity to engage participants in activities:
- to advance their understanding of the risks associated with climate change,
- to develop and assess adaptation options that will improve community resilience, and
- to prepare plans for implementation of options to adapt to a changing climate

The work will increase climate adaptation literacy, and lead to the completion of community-scale climate risk assessments and climate adaptation plans. The CAP targets communities that are new to climate adaptation, and communities that are struggling to implement adaptation measures.

This RFQ does not constitute an Invitation for Bid, Request for Proposal, or Informal Request for Bid or Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the AUMA. AUMA will review all responses received.
