RFP-VILL-AMP-01 - Villeneuve Airport Area Master Plan and Planning Recommendation

The objective of this RFP is to solicit Proposals from qualified Proponents to work with Sturgeon County personnel and members of the “Villeneuve Landing Network” to assess and define future economic and development potential for the lands in the vicinity of the Villeneuve Airport in Sturgeon County, Alberta.

To advance future land use and economic opportunities, a detailed Growth Framework / Master Plan is required, informed by stakeholder consultation. This will be completed by a detailed recommendation on planning next steps, and potential implementation. Sturgeon County is conducting this work on behalf of the VLN, which expects the Master Plan to be completed before the end of June 2021, or sooner if possible, to facilitate discussion and potential statutory plan amendments and regional approval prior to October 2021. Note: VLN governance and financial modelling reviews are also being conducted concurrently, and the successful Proponent would be expected to remain aware of and aligned to that effort (Sturgeon County Administration will assist) by updating the successful Proponent of the work in the project kickoff meeting).
