Description

The Corporation of the Township of Black River- Matheson, hereinafter referred to as the “Township”, invites Proposal submissions from qualified Contractors to provide solid waste operation services for the Township for a period of three years, with the option of a three-year renewal. The Townships is currently soliciting procurement services for:
 collection of waste from urban residents;
 collection of recyclable materials from urban residents and businesses;
 management of recyclable materials collected from urban clients and recyclable materials that are dropped off at the Township’s four landfill sites; and
 operation and management of the Township’s four landfill sites – Val Gagne, Matheson, Ramore, and Butler Lake – to meet the requirements specified in their Environmental Compliance Approvals.

The Proponent may submit Proposals for specific service areas, as outlined in the scope of work, or for the full set of requested solid waste management services.

Voluntary Site Visit of Township Solid Waste Management Facilities Interested Bidders are requested to attend a voluntary Site Visit on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., to obtain an overview of the Township’s solid waste management facilities and required services. Please contact the RFP administrator, Cynthia Levesque by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 to register for this Site Visit.
