Description

During the period of April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021 the successful proponent will have the unique
and exciting opportunity to help mold the future of technician training programs at Northern Lights
College (NLC). This opportunity will consist of secondary and primary research. The secondary research,
consisting of a literature review and an environmental scan will examine existing high demand
occupations and the related training opportunities required for technicians. The results of this review
will be used to guide the primary research. The primary research, consisting of key informative
interviews will compliment the secondary research and be used to generate the final report.
From this data, the successful proponent will produce a report that will provide insight on the viability
and delivery options of technician training programs and courses at the certificate and diploma level.
The report that connects the above will leave NLC with an action plan for immediate implementation.
