22TDRPAR812 - Assessment, Strategy and Design Services for Cooking Lake - Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area Trails Sustainability Plan

The purpose of the RFP is to invite Proposals from qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualifications to provide assessment, identification of the strategies and tactics required to achieve the goals set for the PRA as well as design services to develop a comprehensive Trail Sustainability Plan. This plan, amongst other key considerations outlined below, will provide park managers with the information and tools required to ensure the long term viability of the CLB PRA trails network. The plan must consider the impact on operational capacity and requirements to maintain the trail system through the park’s maintenance program and outside parties such as contractors and partners. Completing the plan for the trails network will not only assist in enhancing visitor experiences and trail access but it will help park managers plan, sequence, and prioritize work to reduce volume, complexity, and costs of ongoing maintenance resulting in enhanced trail system operational sustainability and optimal deployment of scarce operational resources.
