2021-02 - RFP for Solid Waste Management Services

This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Town of Three Hills ("the Town") to the prospective proponent to submit proposals for Solid Waste Collections, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables").
Three Hills is a town with a population of 3,212 located 132 kilometers northeast of Calgary. The Town prides itself in providing a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and locals. Further details on the Town of Three Hills can be obtained at www.threehills.ca
The Town currently has one solid waste collection truck with an overhead cab pick-up for commercial bin collection with manual collection of residential bags.
**Through this Request for Proposal, the Town of Three Hills invites Proposals to provide solid waste collection and transfer to the Town of Three Hills landfill. This RFP must also include the ability to provide option(s) for recyclables, organic waste, including commercial & Industrial collection, as a delete-able item within the RFP.
Alternative waste conversion technologies are encouraged.
The RFP is open to proposals for single stream, multiple streams, or all streams for collections, hauling, and processing.
The RFP may be awarded by single streams, multiple streams, or all waste streams to ensure the Town will receive the best options in price and services.
After all RFP submissions have been received and reviewed, the Town may elect to keep single, multiple, or all waste streams to be serviced by the municipality; based on price and services.
