20-1661 - Software License Management

The City is seeking proposals from experienced Proponents with capabilities of providing a managed service for Software License Management.

The City envisions the Deliverables to include three (3) major components:

1. A contractual relationship with a Proponent who will be designated as the Managed Service Provider with the responsibility of:
a) Managing, educating, and making recommendations towards optimizing The City’s investment in software technologies including Microsoft products;
b) Providing license advisory services;
c) Supporting software audit and continuous software license compliance;
d) Identifying and mitigating risks associated with migrating from perpetual licenses to subscriptions; and
e) Providing detailed reports of software usage, license or subscription compliance, history, and contract management.

2. A Reseller with the ability to source new, market ready-software and licensing, or to renew existing software obligations for The City; and

3. A tool to facilitate the procurement of software, contract management, and license compliance functionality and processes
