Rehabilitation of the Lachine Canal Walls, Montréal (Quebec)

NOTE TO BIDDERS: THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SOLICITATION.

Due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary measures are being taken on-site at the Quebec Region Bid Receiving Unit to encourage social distancing. The health and safety of staff and suppliers remains our top priority.

Suppliers are therefore required to submit offers electronically using the Canada Post epost Connect application to respond to this Request for Standing Offer. This service allows suppliers to submit bids, offers and arrangements electronically to PWGSC Bid Receiving Units. This online service enables the electronic transfer of large files up to Protected B level.

PROJECT:

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) requires construction services of a contractor and the work that is subject of this call for tenders involves the rehabilitation of certain Old-Canal-de-Lachine assets (various locations) located on Canal-de-Lachine National historic Site. Work will be carried out between August 2021 and December 2021.

The work consists mainly of the replacement of concrete walls (±45 meters) and concrete refacing of concrete walls (±80 meters) located on the north shore. Other work related to this intervention, such as rehabilitation of existing assets including metal fabrications as well as exterior improvements are also planned within this project.
