Description

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is initiating a comprehensive planning project to develop a world-class “Skills Centre” to accommodate the future and evolving needs School of Skilled Trades. This future development has been identified as a strategic high priority for the institute and is part of the first phase of NAIT’s approved Campus Development Plan (2020). A significant land parcel (the “Trades Precinct”) is being assembled on main campus in central Edmonton to enable an optimal and integrated development that will demonstrate the esteem NAIT and the Province hold for the skilled trades, in addition to lands available in other locations for academic programming with special needs for space or adjacencies. The Trades Precinct includes lands located in the Blatchford neighbourhood and is adjacent to major elements of the transportation network in Edmonton including the LRT, 118th Avenue, and the Yellowhead Freeway.
