Description

The Town of Hinton, herein referred to as the “Town,” is interested in retaining a certified financial firm to audit its financial statements, herein referred to as “the Auditor.” The Auditor must be engaged in the public accounting process, preferably with expertise in municipal government. The Auditor must demonstrate the ability to carry out the audit in conformity with Section 281 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA). The audit will be performed in accordance with the Public Sector Accounting Board and Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, herein referred to as “GAAP.”
The successful Auditor must demonstrate in their submission that they meet the requirements of industry standards regarding auditing.
