PROJECT SCOPE:
The scope of this Tender involves the construction of a new policing and communications operations facility, to be located at 199 Albert Street, Moncton, N.B. (PID 70439849), to replace the existing Codiac RCMP Detachment located at 520 Main Street, Moncton, N.B. The goal is to develop a high-quality facility that supports the needs of the Codiac Regional RCMP and the residents of Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview.
The successful Contractor shall furnish all labour, material, permits, and certification required for a complete, compliant project, and be responsible for all methods and coordination between forces erecting and installing this work.
BID SECURITY:
A BID BOND made payable to the "City of Moncton", in the amount of TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE TOTAL TENDERED PRICE (TAXES INCLUDED), shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that a Contract will be entered if a bid is accepted.
Where a BID BOND is submitted:
(a) The Tenderer must provide a "CONSENT OF SURETY" stating that the Surety providing the Bid Bond is willing to supply the Performance Surety specified herein.
(b) The accepted Tenderer shall provide a PERFORMANCE BOND and LABOUR & MATERIALS PAYMENT BOND, each made payable to the "City of Moncton", in the amount of FIFTY PERCENT (50%) OF THE CONTRACT VALUE INCLUDING TAXES. The Performance Bond shall be in force for a period of one (1) year from the date indicated on the "Certificate of Final Acceptance".
