for D873-00, Delta Hospital (DEH) Fire Alarm Replacement

Fraser Health Authority (FH) intends to extend the contract to Arnett Grgic Engineering Ltd. (AG Engineering Ltd.) for Prime/Electrical Engineering Consultant Services to the D873-00, Delta Hospital (DEH) Fire Alarm Replacement (Project). AG Engineering Ltd. has provided electrical engineering services up to and including the Design Development Report for the basic design options and associated costing for the the upgrade of the fire alarm system at the Delta Hospital. The replacement system will utilize the SimplexGrinnell 4100ES products incorporating addressable devices that operate using the IDnet communications protocol.
The maximum value of this contract award will be in the range $ 83,000.00 - plus tax. FHFM and FH have chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process and extend the current contract with AG Engineering Ltd. for the following reasons:
· AG Engineering Ltd. has already completed the role as the Prime/Electrical Engineering Consultant up to and including the Design Development Report for D873-00, Delta Hospital (DEH) Fire Alarm Replacement.
· AG Engineering Ltd. has extensive experience in fire alarm replacements.
· AG Engineering Ltd. has immediate availability of resources to continue the scope of work.
· AG Engineering Ltd. has extensive knowledge of the Delta Hospital campus, existing systems, policies and practices.
· AG Engineering Ltd. has established good working relationships with the Project stakeholders.
· AG Engineering Ltd. is registered and comply with all applicable WorkSafe BC regulations.
· AG Engineering Ltd. has Commercial General Liability coverage in an amount not less than $5,000,000.00.
· AG Engineering Ltd. has Professional Liability insurance coverage in an amount not less than $500,000.00 inclusive per occurrence.
· AG Engineering Ltd. has Automobile Liability insurance coverage on all vehicles owned, operated or licensed in an amount not less than $2,000,000.00.
Consultants must work with electrical equipment supplier, SimplexGrinnell to secure delivery by March 31, 2022. The equipment list based on design by AG Engineering Ltd.
