The Contractor shall provide the following services:
Remove existing, supply new and replace all window and entrances shown on the attached
drawings, dispose of all frames, glass and debris from the construction site.
The Contractor shall without limiting its obligations or liabilities under the Contract, obtain and maintain
during the Contract period, at his own expense and cost, the following policies of insurance with limits not
less than those shown in the respective items:
Workers’ Compensation Insurance covering all employees of Contractor engaged in the Work in
accordance with the statutory requirements of the province or territory having jurisdiction over
such employees.
Unless otherwise direct by Northern Lights Public Schools in writing the Contractors will carry an All
Risks Installation Floater for equipment and materials in transit to the job site, and until equipment
and materials have been installed, tested, approved and accepted by Northern Lights Public
Schools. Such All Risks insurance floater shall be endorsed to waive rights of subrogation against
Northern Lights Public Schools.
Automobile or Watercraft Liability insurance covering all motor vehicles or watercraft owned,
operated and used or to be used by the Contractor in connection with the Work. The Limit of
Liability shall not be less than $2,000,000 inclusive, for loss or damage including personal injuries
and death arising from any one accident.
The Contractor shall provide the Owner with a certificate of insurance evidencing coverage for
Commercial General Liability insurance in the amount of minimum of $5,000,000. Northern Lights
Public Schools to be added as an Additional Insured within the Contractors Commercial General
Liability policy.
The Contractor shall indemnify and save harmless Northern Lights Public Schools from any and all
losses, liabilities, claims, demands, and costs (including legal costs) howsoever caused with respect
to losses caused directly by the Contractor.
The policies mentioned in the above certificate shall not be cancelled, altered, or permitted to lapse
unless the insurer notifies Northern Lights Public Schools in writing at least (30) days prior to the
effective date of cancellation or expiry. The insurance policy will be in a form and with a company,
acceptable to the Owner.
Remove and re‐do any work which, in the opinion of the Director of Facilities, is not in accordance
with good trade practice, at no additional cost to the owner.
Work to commence on July 1, 2022 and to be substantially completed by August 1, 2022.
Inspections will take place during the course of the work and upon completion by the Director of
Facilities or designate.
The Contractor is responsible for removal of all waste materials and debris from the site including
landfill costs. All debris must be hauled to landfill.

These specifications are written with preferred specifications, from
Kawneer Company, we will accept an approved equal.
Approval of equal is required prior to submitting any pricing.

Exterior Glazing
Hermetically sealed dual glazed with exterior glass of 6mm safety tempered vitro
solargray, interior glass of 6mm PPG Solarban 60 on No. 3 surface. Sealed unit to have
1‐12mm spacer with 90% argon, 10% air mix.
Glass for exterior door and frames shall be 6mm tempered vitro solargray (exterior
Lite), 6mm Solarban tempered on No. 3 surface. Sealed unit to have 1‐ 12mm spacer
with 90% argon, 10% air mix.
Spandrel panel standard colour opaci. 6mm clear heat strengthen black to match
6mm vitro solargray.
Insulated (22 ga) galvanized envatherm panel square flange style back pans
complete with #14 Class 1 clear anodized interior finish.

Glazed Aluminum Curtain Wall, Doors, and Windows
Series 1620 System 1 wall‐system by Kawneer Company Inc., color shall be
Kawneer #14. Anodized clear finish on all sides.
Aluminum swing doors to be 500 T Series with 254mm bottom rail, 152mm midrail,
by Kawneer Company Inc. Doors shall be Kawneer #14. Anodized clear finish
on all sides.
Series 6400 operable windows system by Kawneer Company Inc., color shall be
Kawneer. Anodized clear finish on all sides. Hardware to be standard with
fixed screens.
All exterior flashing to have minimum gauge of .050 for sills and .040 for
jambs and headers. Finish to be #14 Class 1 clear anodized.
