Description

Ministry of Children’s Services is seeking to engage the child care sector to calculate the cost to operate child care in Alberta and arrive at a cost per space for both licensed facility based and home based settings. The successful proponent is expected to analyze current costs and fees of licensed child care operations in Alberta (both provincially and regionally), using inputs such as, but not limited to cost driver information provided by the Ministry and gathered from the sector; define ‘core child care services’ for both facility-based and home-based, private for-profit, and non-profit programs; and provide cost per space for child care services.
