830919 (RKA #204858) - Request for Proposal for Construction of Victor Lake Elder Lodge

The Evergreens Foundation is a non-profit housing management body that strives to continually provide affordable housing options for seniors, individuals, and families. For over fifty years they have provided support to the communities of Hinton, Edson, Jasper, Grande Cache, Wildwood, and Evansburg. Currently, there are no options for supportive living that embraces the traditions and values of indigenous elders. While there are some options for long term care, these are limited and the aging indigenous population does not feel comfortable giving up their way of life. As the new generation begins to move away from the Victor Lake Cooperative to embrace new opportunities, the elder population requires support. This project is to address the needs for supporting living options that will address the care and cultural requirements of the indigenous elders. This project will be managed through a joint venture between Victor Lake Cooperative (governing partner) and Evergreens Foundation (operating partner).
This RFP seeks a Contractor that can deliver a facility catered to the traditions and culture of Victor Lake indigenous residents for a Stipulated Price contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents.
