ADVANCE CONTRACT AWARD NOTICE (ACAN)
This ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that the City of Fredericton intends to
award a contract for service to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their
interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a Statement of
Capabilities that means the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the Closing Date stated in
the ACAN, the City of Fredericton may then proceed with to award a contract to the pre-identified
Supplier.
DEFINITION OF THE REQUIRMENT
The Fredericton Fire Department has a requirement of being fiscally responsible by leveraging existing
insurance policies for the incremental cost of its attendance at emergency incidents with respect to
claiming perils provisions that property owners are currently paying for.
COST ESTIMATE OF THE PROPOSED CONTRACT
The estimate Agreement value for Fire Insurance Cost Recovery is approximately $80,000.00 (HST Extra)
per year.
The duration of the Agreement shall be a term of three (3) years from date award, with one (1) two (2)
year option for extension.

SUPPLIERS' RIGHT TO SUBMIT A STATEMENT OF CAPABILITIES
Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the services described in this
ACAN may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the Purchasing Agent identified in this notice
on or before the closing date of this notice. The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how
the supplier meets the advertised requirements.
Potential Suppliers must demonstrate extensive experience and success in managing all aspects of claim
submission and recoveries of monies, must provide documented experience with municipal
stakeholders in this regard, must demonstrate comparable to pre-identified supplier and be licensed in
all Canadian provinces is required.
CLOSING DATE FOR A SUBMISSION OF STATEMENT OF CAPABILITIES
The closing date and time for accepting statement of capabilities is Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at
3:00:00 pm (Fredericton Local Time)
SUBMISSION OF STATEMENT OF CAPABILITIES
Statement of Capabilities submission in pdf format may be forwarded to the City of Fredericton
Purchasing Division via email to bids@fredericton.ca with the document number in the subject line. THIS
E-MAIL ADDRESS IS FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONS, AMENDMENTS, AND SIGNED ADDENDUM
SUBMISSIONS ONLY. Suppliers should receive an automatic reply confirming receipt of their Statement
of Capabilities. If the Suppliers does not receive the automatic reply, the Purchasing Agent should be
contacted by telephone. Limit the submission email size to a maximum of 50 MB or send the Proposal in
multiple pieces. Files that are larger than 50 MB will bounce back. The Local Government shall not be
liable for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever if an email submission is not received by the
Local Government prior to the designated time and date due to malfunctioning equipment, the inability
to complete the transmission of a document, or for any other reason.
