N672350013 - PRINCE RUPERT - PRR Source Water Treatment RFP

The water quality within the Prince Rupert  hospital has been reviewed by independent consultants, and their reports indicate that the quality of water provided by the municipality has numerous issues. The quality of the water causes issues within the hospital on a daily basis including accelerated pipe degradation, multiple point of use filtration systems and overall aesthetic issues.

The intent of this project is to design a single plant option to serve both PRR and the adjacent Acropolis Manor (ACM) building. This design should remove organics, increase pH, provide pathogen removal, and provide secondary chlorine disinfection. The project scope includes the design of the system, including connection to ACM. A modular solution is preferred, but NHA is open to suggestions that may assist with quicker deployment to site. The source water treatment system is to be located at the rear of the hospital, near plant services, and be physically connected to the existing facility. A report outlining the existing water quality and design options is included in the RFP. Once the design is complete, the intent is to proceed to tender and construction.
