The Beverage Container Management Board (BCMB) is A Delegated Administrative Organization (DAO), created through legislation to aid the Ministry of Environment and Protected Areas in achieving its goals and objectives. The BCMB is responsible for regulating Alberta’s beverage container recycling system. It is established as a management board under Alberta’s Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act and under the Beverage Container Recycling Regulation (AR 101/1997). The BCMB operates as a not-for-profit organization incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta. The BCMB Board of Directors is a stakeholder board that consists of 13 members. Membership on the board includes representation from a cross-section of stakeholders including: beverage producers, depot owners and representatives, municipal and provincial government and the public. The BCMB’s mandate is to regulate and enhance a leading beverage container system that protects Alberta’s environment.

This Request For Proposal (RFP) is intended to solicit interest from firms that can provide Director Search Services (Search Firm) as the BCMB seeks a public member Director. The BCMB intends to use the RFP responses to assist in selecting the Search Firm to provide Director Search Services. The BCMB intends to select a preferred company to enter into contract negotiations.
