Description

This is a second-stage RFP limited to the following Design-Builders prequalified for the Design-Build VOR list established as a result of RFSQ #1979141584 issued by Plexxus on behalf of University Health Network on August 31, 2021:
-PCL Constructors Canada Inc.
-Dineen Construction Management Corp.
-Ecosystem Energy Services Inc.
-Diligent Construction
Scope of Work
This project is located on two sites, TWH & TGH. It will be completed using the Design-Build VOR under the same design-build vendor with different construction teams. Each site will have its own distinct scope, budget, and schedule. The intent is to have the Design-Build contractor to treat each site as a separate project with separate invoicing. After consultation with FM-PRO finance, it was confirmed this type of finance approach can be used.

TWH:
Current Body Interventional Radiology (IR) Equipment is very old and the manufacturer is no longer able to provide replacement parts. The projected patient volumes require more expansion to allow for two procedure rooms and required support spaces. Currently, there is vacant space on the 3rd floor Fell wing that will be redeveloped to support the larger IR clinical needs. Scope of work will include the design and construction of two (2) IR procedure rooms, equipment rooms, shared control room, scrub sink area, Clean and soiled utility rooms, staff lounge, office, and small meeting space. This work will also include upgrades to the security and door hardware in the area.

TGH:
There is currently four (4) Interventional Radiology (IR) suites located on the first floor Peter Munk Building at Toronto General Hospital. The IR equipment is nearing the end of its life and requires replacement. The scope of work focuses on the replacement of the equipment with infrastructure and structural upgrades as required to meet equipment needs. This project will include upgrades to portions of millwork control room counters and repairs to flooring seams as required. The overall square footage of the IR suite will not change.
