Description

The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to Analyze the ages of 47 Pleistocene to Holocene volcanic rock samples through Argon-Argon (Ar-Ar) dating, in support of the Volcano Risk Reduction in Canada project.

The work will involve the following:

Sample preparation: crushing, sieving, and further processing as required (which may vary depending on the sample)

Argon-Argon dating:

Irradiation of purified samples

Laser fusion analysis of single crystals (2 samples):

Whole rock analysis (47 samples)

Return of remaining solid samples and pulps to the project authority

Electronic delivery of analysis results to the project authority
