Description

The project renovations and addition to the Henderson Ice Centre will allow additional opportunities for operational efficiencies and enhancements to the facility. These enhancements will include the renovation and upgrades to the existing change rooms/washrooms, renovations to existing public washrooms to comply with code and allow for barrier free accessibility, conversion of an existing change room to an officials room with required washroom/shower facilities, ramp from new change rooms to arena level, reconfiguration and expansion of the front entrance with new ticket booth and concession areas, addition of 4 new change rooms with washroom/shower facilities and also new exterior accessible washrooms for the adjacent SLP skatepark. On the far south end of the arena is a potential future Community Room that will not be part of this project scope. However, all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical connections required to support this future addition shall be planned.
