Transportation Investment Corporation (the Corporation, “TI Corp”) is seeking proposals from qualified Proponents to perform the functions of a Commercial & Contracts Manager to support the Commercial & Contracts Director in the delivery of assigned TI Corp projects. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and administration of commercial terms administering the Project Agreement between the Owner and Project Contractor (Project Co) and also requires management, support and development of Commercial & Contracts Administrators.
Among other responsibilities, the Commercial & Contracts Manager will be responsible for supporting the Project’s Commercial & Contracts team, supporting the advising on commercial and contractual matters, coordinating with the Owner’s internal and external legal counsel managing contractual claims and disputes, lead the drafting of contractual correspondence, manage the communications between TICorp, Owner and Project Co related to commercial matters; leading negotiations and drafting certificates related to change management, and leading Commercial team responsibilities relating to payment and performance incentive mechanisms. The role will also provide guidance to the Project Team, and supporting development of TICorp’s Commercial & Contracts teams. The Commercial & Contracts Manager will be invested in supporting and promoting TICorp’s culture of continuous improvement and excellence in delivery.
The successful Proponent(s) should demonstrate experience in a commercial leadership role on major engineering infrastructure capital projects and be responsible for decisions that consider commercial impacts and Project risks and changes, on behalf of an Owner.
The Corporation is seeking up to three (3) qualified Consultants to work on current and future capital Projects. The expected Term of resulting Contract(s) is for five (5) years, in alignment with the estimated Project schedule a Contractor would be assigned to. At the discretion of TI Corp and subject to available appropriation and satisfactory performance, the term of the resulting contract(s) may be extended to align with the respective Project duration.
Proposals are welcome from individuals, or companies, however companies are restricted to submitting a maximum of three individual consultants.
