PL24TCG034 - Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 Tree Planting, Campbell River Natural Resource District

The proposed contract requires the planting of approximately 469 hectares within the Campbell River Natural Resource District land base as follows:

Fall 2023 Plant Project - An estimated  +/- 305,170 seedlings are prescribed for planting in  25 blocks of which  9 of the blocks are either fill plants or burn pile plants, over  ±342 hectares. Approximately  ± 43,400 seedlings will require fertilizer (10gram teabags) application.
The contractor is expected to be capable of providing productivity at a minimum of  20.0k seedlings planted daily to complete this project within approximately  3-4 weeks.

Spring 2023 Plant Project - An estimated  +/- 118,790 seedlings are prescribed for planting in  6 blocks of which all are regular plant blocks, over  ± 127 hectares. Approximately  ±1,830 seedlings will require cone style tree protector installation. BCTS will be supplying recycled and refurbished (Sinocast type) tree protectors previously deployed by BCTS for this purpose.
The contractor is expected to be capable of providing productivity at a minimum of  12.0k seedlings planted daily to complete this project within approximately  2-3 weeks.

All the blocks are located within the Campbell River Natural Resource District and are rated as moderate risk planting based on critical site factors. Key Personnel are required.
