Introduction:
1. The Town of Lamont (“the Town”) is seeking submissions for Consulting Engineering Services for the Town of Lamont. Proposal information must provide the required services outlined in this request to qualify. All other services are identified as value added and will be considered based on the Town’s future engineering service and consultation requirements.
2. Only firms intending to offer professional municipal engineering services for the Town of Lamont as requested need respond to this call.
Scope of Work:
1. Understanding future engineering demands, the Town requires a formalized engineering consulting arrangement with a firm the Town may call upon as required. All firms must provide the required engineering services or have arrangements with subconsultants to provide these services to be considered.
2. Firms responding to this call must posses a complete understanding of applicable Federal, Provincial, Municipal, or other relevant legislation, by-laws, codes, or other applicable law respecting provisions of any and all services referenced in the proposal.
3. Firms must demonstrate experience with engineering design, tendering, inspection, and contract administration as it relates to engineering services.
4. Required Engineering Services:
• General technical and engineering advice and assistance.
• Transportation studies/ road design and recommendation.
• Water distribution studies/ design and recommendation.
• Wastewater collection and lagoon studies/ design and recommendation.
• Stormwater drainage and grading studies/ design and recommendation.
• Capital program design, review, tendering, project management and assessment.
• Estimating and budgeting.
• Surveying.
• Drafting services.
5. Value Added Service (examples):
• Grant preparation or advisory.
• Asset management services.
• Mapping and GIS services.
• Structural engineering services.
• GIS Technical Services.
• Inspection Services.
6. The Town may choose to allocate engineering services to another firm at its sole discretion.
