Description

BC Hydro has a dedicated private Telecom network that is essential to the operation of the power delivery system. The primary purpose of the system is to provide highly reliable, secure, low latency telecommunications circuits for protection, automation, control, and monitoring of the power system. BC Hydro is seeking to select Suppliers of High- and Low-Capacity Microwave Radios and Core and Edge MPLS equipment to be integrated with its existing network, and anticipates working closely with Suppliers to incorporate new technologies over the term of the Contract under this RFP.

The Contract is expected to be for an initial term of (8) years, which may be extended for up to (12) year(s) through one or more contract extensions, for a potential total term of (20) years.

This procurement may involve negotiation.

This opportunity is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
