Description

o build a new Long Term Care (“LTC”) Home at 6910 & 6930 Lantzville Road, Nanaimo BC. The scope of the Project includes the construction of a three-storey (3-storey), 306 bed LTC facility of approximately 26,530 gross square metres in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Included within the overall bed count is:
1) One (1) twenty-bed (20-bed) hospice unit,
2) One (1) 26 bed unit for a specialized LTC population of younger residents

The LTC living areas comprise multiple small houses of no more than fifteen (15) residents each. Other program areas include:
1) a bistro,
2) a hairdresser,
3) therapy treatment and other services,
4) multipurpose spaces,
5) an adult day program space,
6) a reception area,
7) a lounge,
8) administrative areas, and
9) a 37 space child daycare.

The building will also include spaces for:
1) a loading dock,
2) a kitchen,
3) facility support spaces,
4) storage, and
5) parking for 215 cars.
