Description

The purpose of the Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) is to solicit expressions of interest from qualified agencies for Outreach Episodic Overdose Prevention Service (eOPS) in the Kootenay Boundary Region, specifically Nelson and Trail.

Outreach eOPS refers to provider-witnessed consumption of substances for the purpose of preventing or responding to drug poisoning delivered outside of established sites (e.g. SCS and OPS) in outdoor and community-based settings where drug poisoning prevention may be needed.

Outreach eOPS is facilitated by a provider trained in drug poisoning (overdose) response and equipped with supplies to respond to drug poisoning (e.g. take home naloxone kit) and anyone at risk for harm from drug poisoning.

Interior Health invites proposals from organizations experienced in delivering exceptional care to mental health and substance use participants, and whom have the necessary development and operational resources.
