Description

This RFP is an invitation from MMC to prospective roof consultant to submit Proposals for the provision of prime consultant’s services for the roof repair/replacement project beginning with the W5 South roof (Phase 1) at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC, Purchaser), with the option to include remaining roof sections following Phase 1 at the Purchaser’s discretion. The prime consultant will be responsible for the creation of a full set of tender ready construction documents, including drawings and specifications that outline the repair or replacement of our commercial roofing system, inclusive of the demolition, phasing, and infection and control ("Services”). The consultant will advise on the best strategy for mitigating water entry into the building during the repair/replacement of the roofing system and develop a phasing strategy inclusive of impacts to rooftop equipment/mechanical systems.
Scope of Work
PRHC's hospital roof, approximately 180,000 sq. ft. and primarily comprised of BUR and inverted roof systems, is currently not performing adequately. PRHC is looking for a consultant to specify the appropriate actions: repair or removal and replacement of the roof system. Recognizing that this work is seasonal, it could be phased over several years to allow reasonable time for construction and to minimize impact to patient care. This RFP is solely for Phase 1 which is inclusive of the W5 South Roof (estimated 17,000 sq. ft.) with the option to include all remaining roof sections (as additional phases) following Phase 1.

The Purchaser has scheduled a mandatory site meeting on May 8, 2024, 10:00 AM EST at the following location: Peterborough Regional Health Centre 1 Hospital Drive, Peterborough. Contactors are to meet at the Contractor Entrance located alongside Shipping and Receiving. To the left of the Loading Bay doors, there is a man door located just up a ramp. This is the Contractor Entrance.

Prior to or at the Site Meeting, the Confidentiality Agreement, provided in the RFP, must be signed by Proponent's officer authorized to bind the Proponent, and submitted via OTP or by email to the Bid Administrator by the Date to Submit the Mandatory Confidentiality Agreement identified in Section 2.2 above. The Proponent’s representatives will not be permitted to attend the Site Meeting without the submission of a signed Confidentiality Agreement.
