Description

The City of Calgary (The City) is seeking a qualified consulting firm to lead Phase 2.0 of River Hall YYC pilot project. This initiative is part of the Greater Downtown Plan, approved in 2021, which aims to transform downtown Calgary into a vibrant economic and cultural hub, in part through reimagining where lands can serve more than one purpose to better meet community needs. Building on the success of a 5-week event series in 2024, Phase 2.0 of River Hall YYC will further activate the space at 311 8th St SW. This project anticipates the following Phases:

• Phase I: Develop Two (2) Conceptual Designs
• Phase II: Develop Detailed Design
• Phase III: Develop Specifications, Prepare Construction Procurement, and Administer Construction
• Phase IV: Manage Programming and Site Operations

The City anticipates additional future work, whereby the Consultant would be responsible for managing programming and site operations beyond 2026, subject to funding and Council approval.
