1. 30 Leonard Drive -
Question 1: What material is behind the mural facade?- Answer: 3/4" Plywood, there is no siding behind it.
Question 2: What do we use for a color palate? - Answer: Color match to the existing exterior.
2. 612 Main Street -
Question 1: Removing the mural may cause substantial damage to the underlying stucco. How should we factor that into our pricing? - Answer: Submit bid price for this location based on the full wall requiring re-stuccoing. Should patching and painting prove sufficient, scope of work and cost may be negotiated between Sussex and the successful contractor.
Question 2: What is your preferred course of action regarding the boarded-up window? Answer: Infill the area and apply stucco to match the surrounding surface.
3. 609 Main Street -
Question 1: Would it be possible to shut down access to the alleyway while construction work is underway? Answer: Yes, due to safety concerns, the alleyway may be closed off during construction.
4. 24 Park -
Question 1: Will the scope of work also include replacing the downspouts and gutters? Answer: No, the scope of work will not include replacing the downspouts and gutters.
5. 248 Main -
Question 1: Should we use the same stucco detailing around the windows as is currently applied to the rest of the building? Answer: Yes, use the same detailing as the rest of the building.
Question 2: What color has been selected for painting the foundation? - Answer: Brown

Quotations are requested from interested Contractors to provide equipment, tools, materials, and labour to remove murals from five (5) buildings located within the limits of town of Sussex and replace with cladding to match the existing envelope of each building. Required completion date for this project is within the 2025 construction season.
Site visits for this project are mandatory.
Tender submissions will be received at Town of Sussex, 524 Main Street, Sussex, NB until Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 12:00:00 PM - Atlantic Time. Bids must be either mailed, couriered, or delivered personally. Bids will not be accepted by fax or email.
