Description

The Salmon Arm Memorial Arena was constructed in 1957. Since this time, minor renovations have occurred at the east and west end of the original arena structure. Around 1999 the ice surface was decommissioned, and the building was repurposed as an indoor soccer field with
synthetic turf above the original slab-on-grade. Since that time, no significant upgrades or updates to the existing building from the original construction have been completed.

The City of Salmon Arm (City/Owner) plans to demolish the Salmon Arm Memorial Arena at 351 – 3 Street SW to an evenly graded gravel condition. The project scope includes the complete removal of the main building, other structures, asphalt and other appurtenances within the
boundaries shown on the Extent of Removal Location Map. The work methodology emphasizes safety and regulatory compliance as well as site security.
