AB-2025-04786 - Marketing, Communications & Stakeholder Relations Plan

The Town of Stony Plain is seeking proposals for the development and delivery of a comprehensive Marketing, Communications & Stakeholder Relations Plan to strengthen its economic and tourism profile through the work of the Economic Development and Culture and Tourism business units.While the town boasts inherent strengths, cultural richness, and a prime geographic location, the absence of a cohesive branding and marketing strategy has limited its ability to fully leverage these assets. The Tourism Master Plan (TMP), Highway Development Strategy (HDS), and Economic Development Strategy & Action Plan all highlight the need for a strong, unified brand and marketing plan to drive growth and investment and increase visitorship.

With Northern and Regional Economic Development (NRED) grant funding, the Town will develop a plan to enhance brand visibility, attract investment, and support future development along highway corridors. Recommendations from the TMP and HDS emphasize that a clear and compelling brand narrative is critical to unlocking Stony Plain’s full potential and strengthening its position as a regional destination.

While Economic Development and Culture & Tourism operate in distinct areas, both aim to position Stony Plain as an attractive destination for investors and visitors. This plan will serve as a unified strategy with two tailored components, ensuring branding and outreach effectively support both economic and tourism objectives.

The anticipated budget for this project is under $75,000, inclusive of all fees, expenses, and applicable taxes. Proponents are encouraged to submit cost-effective proposals that align with the scope of work and Deliverables outlined in the RFP. The selected proponent is expected to provide a detailed project plan that allows for multiple rounds of revisions and includes the delivery of a formal presentation to the project team. It is desired that the final plan be submitted no later than December 31, 2025.
