The BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) is a Crown agency that regulates the financial service industries in British Columbia, including credit unions, trust and insurance companies, pension plans, mortgage brokers, and has oversight of the Credit Union Deposit Insurance Corporation (CUDIC). CUDIC’s mandate is to protect the public against the insolvency of financial institutions, prevent improper market conduct in the financial services sectors, provide deposit insurance for members of B.C. credit unions and ensure the solvency of pension funds.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to invite proposals from audit firms for the performance of audit services with respect to the financial statements of CUDIC.

BCFSA intends to select one (1) audit firm, to perform the CUDIC audits.

BCFSA anticipates the term of the contract to be for three (3) reporting periods.  The CUDIC reporting periods are for the years ending March 31, 2026, March 31, 2027 and March 31, 2028. The contract term will end in August 2028 to allow for updates after the Audit has been reviewed. BCSFA retains the option for two (2) one (1) reporting year extensions at the sole discretion of BCFSA, provided both parties agree to the renewal.
