Description

The City of Prince Rupert has committed to upgrading and replacing most of the aged water & sewer infrastructure within the community. As this infrastructure reaches the end of its service life, the City seeks an Engineering Consultant to provide design services based on a set of work packages developed by the City and their Owner’s Engineer, Associated Engineering (AE). The main objectives of the project are to:

Replace water infrastructure in failing areas to bolster resiliency in the system
Improve sewer infrastructure by separating storm and sewer utilities
Renew related road surfaces and structures
Minimize disruption to the community
Begin construction on at least one corridor by April of 2026
Issue all construction procurement packages for bid by September 2026
