Fraser Health is seeking experienced and qualified proponents to provide Remote Video and Audio Interpretation for spoken and American sign language and related services, on twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week basis to Fraser Health, in British Columbia, Canada.
Fraser Health’s Language services provide access to interpretation services (spoken and sign language) and coordination of translation services (written language), which creates equitable language access through professional interpretation services and translation services, which helps bridge language barriers between health care providers, physicians and staff; and patients/clients/residents who do not share a common language.
The chosen Proponent(s) resulting from this RFP will enhance and augment the Services, thus allowing greater access to professional interpreters and ensuring seamless effective communication between health care providers and patients.
All Services must meet the requirements of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (BC). Collection of Personal Information will not be allowed under any Contract resulting from this RFP.
Objectives of the RFP
The successful proponent(s) will achieve/or exceed the following objectives:
(a) Improve accessibility for limited English proficient individuals and deaf, deaf-blind and hard of hearing individuals by providing greater access to dedicated professional interpreters with 24/7 support.
(b) Uphold and implement the principles of Canada Health Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), Fraser Health's policies, and “Applicable Laws”, including ensuring informed consent of patients and Clients and protecting confidential patient information.
(c) Enhance patient safety and satisfaction using customer surveys and key performance indicators to augment and improve quality of care and health outcomes of patients.
(d) Implement costs saving initiatives and/or group discounting programs through aggregation of efforts to achieve better overall value for Fraser Health.

Information Meeting (online): Fraser Health recommends that Proponents attend an information meeting scheduled (online) for August 18, 2025, Pacific Time at 10:00 to 11:00 AM. During the virtual Information Meeting, Fraser Health will outline the key requirements of the RFP and answer any general questions that Proponents may have in relation to this RFP.
The Information Meeting will be held via web conference, the Contact Person will send a Microsoft Teams meeting invite to those who have registered for the opportunity.
