AB-2025-05814 - Westslope Cutthroat Trout Broodstock Hatchery SOP, Report, & Cryogenic Preservation Methods

Recovery of Westslope Cutthroat Trout in Alberta requires a multi-pronged approach that addresses current threats to the species and increases population density and extent throughout its current and former native range. Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) together with partner organizations, are working to reduce or eliminate threats to the species across their native range. To address low abundance in populations, Alberta is currently working on several recovery stocking strategies to address declines of some Westslope Cutthroat Trout populations.
